Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew as a child in Mexico in a family who was devoted to music. She grew up listening mostly to traditional music, boleros from the past, and the traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana enjoys tangos operas and other dramatic performances. Ana began to learn how to play and sing at an early age together with her mom. She was given more formal vocal training when she was 16 years old under the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterward in the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. She performed throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and various cities while a student and professional. In 2000, she relocated to in the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007, she settled in her new home in Southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and is a performer of Latin American traditional music solo at many private events. As a local performer and instructor the passion for music and art keeps her active in a variety of different projects. Ana was a former participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands (as being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana hopes that by sharing her knowledge songs from Latin American traditional songs, to inspire a love, especially for the young generation in keeping the music alive.
